Selintra, in conjunction with Minneapolis based telecommunications equipment provider Multi-Tech, has rolled out a high-survivability, distributed PBX to an un-named off-shore customer. Each of the 42 geographically distributed SARK UCS PBXs in the system is linked by satellite. Extensive use is made of Multi-Tech Analogue/SIP gateways to drive conventional telephone handsets over SIP protocols. A Selintra spokesperson said, "This is yet another showcase for Selintra's expertise in integrating large Asterisk-based IP systems to bring hitherto unheard of value to its customers and stakeholders".
